25/1/2007 17:42

At least 26 people were killed and 25 others injured yesterday when a passenger bus plunged into a 200-meter-deep ravine in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, authorities said.
The driver lost control of his vehicle on the Huautla-Acatepec road in the Mazteca region in Oaxaca, 350 km south of Mexico City.
At least 26 bodies have been recovered from the site and the 25 survivors have been taken to hospitals in Oaxaca for treatment, according to an official from the state.
The Mexico City-bound bus, which belonged to Fletes y Pasajes company, was one of the four buses hired to carry people for demonstration in the capital.
