Moderate quake hits eastern Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 5.0 Richter scale rocked eastern parts of
Indonesia this morning, no report of damage or casualty, the meteorology agency
said.
The quake jolted at 05:24 Jakarta time (2224GMT Thursday) with epicenter at
73 kilometers northwest Ternate of North Maluku province and at 65 kilometers in
depth, an official of the agency said.
Indonesia sits on a vulnerable zone so called "the Pacific Ring of Fire"
where two continental plates meet, causing frequent volcanic movements.
