Ecuador's constituent assembly Okays draft constitution

Ecuador's constituent assembly approved late yesterday a draft new
constitution that can give President Rafael Correa broad powers.
In the
130-member assembly, 94 voted in favor of the new constitution that will enable
President Correa to dissovle Congress and set monetary policies.
A referendum
is set to be held on the constitution on Sept. 28.
