Colombian army detains drug trafficking suspect wanted by US

The Colombian army yesterday destroyed five cocaine labs and detained a
drug trafficking suspect wanted by the United States. The five labs in the
northeastern province of Buenaventura near the border with Venezuela used to
produce 500 kg of drugs a month. The military also detained a drug
trafficking suspect named Jose Estupilan who was on a US extradition
request. The arrest occurred one day after Estupilan's two complices were
detained in the same province. The two were accused of drug trafficking by the
district court of the US state of Florida.
