Greek President talks with Vietnamese counterpart

Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet held talks with visiting Greek President Karolos Papoulias in Hanoi today.
The two presidents discussed bilateral relations, regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Before the talks, President Treit held a grand welcome ceremony for President Papoulias, who is on a week-long visit to Vietnam.
The Greek President is also scheduled to meet with Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong today.
Bilateral relation between Vietnam and Greece have developed fast over the past few years. According to Vietnamese figures, two- way trade in the first eight months this year reached US$ 90 million, which is equal to the value for the whole 2007.
