21 people die after taking toxic alcohol in Bangladesh

Twenty-one people died after drinking toxic alcohol in different parts of
Bangladesh's northwestern Bogra and Joypurhat districts in the last two days,
leading English newspaper The Daily Star reported today. Police said a total
of 17 people died in Bogra while four others in adjoining Joypurhat district
after they take homemade alcohol from drug dealers on Friday night. Police
have sealed off four shops and arrested nine people in the two districts, the
newspaper said. The reason why people died after taking the homemade alcohol
is still unknown.
