Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Il
has watched an art performance recently, the official daily paper Rodong Sinmun
said today. This is the third report by DPRK media on Kim's appearance in
November. But the report did not mention the date when Kim watched the
performance by artists of the Merited State Chorus, "Unhasu," the Mansudae Art
Troupe, the Phibada Opera Troupe and the National Art Troupe. Kim, at the end
of the performance, waved to the cheering performers and audience. He
expressed his expectations and belief that all the artists would continue their
art activities to encourage the army and people in their drive to build a
"great, prosperous and powerful nation." The country's official news agency
KCNA also reported the event. DPRK'S State media reported earlier this month
that Kim watched a football match and visited military units.
