14/11/2008 10:48

US Vice President-elect Joe Biden has chosen former chief of staff for former Vice President Al Gore to be his chief of staff, CNN reported yesterday.

Ron Klain has agreed to serve in the same post under Biden, according to the report.

Klain also served as general counsel of Gore's Florida recount effort in the 2000 presidential election, and was recently portrayed by Kevin Spacey in an HBO movie about the event.

He previously worked with Biden when he served as chief counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee in the early 1990's, when Biden was chairman of the committee.

Klain is a graduate of Georgetown University and Harvard Law School.
