Two American soldiers died in separate non-combat related incidents in
Iraq, the US military said today. A soldier assigned to Multi-National
Division-Center (MND-C) died yesterday, a brief military statement said, without
specifying the location of the incident. MND-C, also known as Task Force
Marne, is responsible for security in areas located along the southern edge of
Baghdad and stretch to the border of Saudi Arabia in the west and to the Iranian
borders in the east. A marine assigned to Multi-National Force-West died on
Wednesday in Iraq's western province of Anbar, another statement said. Anbar,
has been relatively calm for more than a year and a half when Sunni tribes and
anti-US insurgent groups turn up against al-Qaida network in Iraq, cooperating
with the US troops and Iraqi security forces. The names of the deceased
soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, both the
statements added. About 4,201 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the
U. S.-led invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon
