The final encounter at the Mumbai Taj hotel has reportedly ended at about
8:20 am local time this morning, with all militants killed, reported local
TV channel News X.
The report said that the last 2-3 militants in the Taj hotel were shot dead
Saturday morning, which probably indicated the end of the Taj anti-terror
operation. But there is no official confirmation now.
About 7:40 a.m. Saturday morning, fresh gunfire took place at the ground
floor of the hotel. Smoke was billowing out from the world culture heritage
building, while gunshots and explosions were heard clearly.
Late Friday night the last 2-3 militants were cornered in a room of the
ground floor of the Taj hotel.
