1/12/2008 16:09

Chileans yesterday donated more than US$25 million for the well-being of people with disabilities at an event marking the day of solidarity with disabled persons.
The fund is intended for the Teleton foundation, which has been promoted by famed Chilean entertainer Mario Kreutzberguer.
Local businessmen Leonardo Farkas and Jose Luis Nazar, who is now living in the United States, donated nearly one and a US$half million apiece.
Almost 80,000 people attended the event in a stadium, and some international entertainment stars joined the massive crowd at the event.
