Japan's emperor in stable condition after complaining anomaly

Japan's emperor Akihito, who has been diagnosed as having an irregular
pulse, is now in stable condition and no restrictions have been imposed on his
daily activities, Japanese media reported today. The emperor, 74, complained
of an unusual feeling in his chest two weeks ago and that his blood pressure
rose last night. He canceled his duties today. Kyodo News Agency quoted
Ichiro Kanazawa, the Imperial Household Agency medical supervisor as saying that
Akihito did not complain of any anomaly in the chest today and that his blood
pressure has remained stable.
