Missile strike kills 5 in Pakistan's tribal region

A missile attack has killed at least five people in northwestern
Pakistan's tribal region today, local television reported. Two missiles were
fired at two vehicles in different parts of South Waziristan tribal agency,
killing at least five people, Dawn TV channel quoted officials as
saying. Reports said that the missiles were fired from unknown
locations. South Wazirisitan tribal agency on the Afghan border is the
stronghold of Pakistan's militant organizations, blamed by the United States for
linking with Taliban and Al-Qaida The tribal areas bordering Afghanistan have
seen a rising frequency of missile attacks launched by the US drones. The
Pakistani government has repeatedly protested against the attacks and called for
a halt to them.
