Militants kill 12 policemen in southern Baghdad

A group of militants raided two police stations in Baghdad on Friday, killing
12 policemen and wounding several others, police said. Militants attacked
al-Amil police station in southern Baghdad with mortar rounds, killing 12
policemen in fierce clashes inside the station. The attackers then looted
weaponry. Shortly, government security forces cordoned off the area. In a
separate attack, gunmen clashed with policemen at a station in Baghdad's
northern district of al-Adhaniya, the police said, without giving further
details on casualties.
