Burn's Justice of the Peace and Parish Officer was first published by Richard Burn in 1755. At the time of his death in 1785, this set was the standard authority on the law used by Justices of the Peace and Parish Officers throughout England.

博恩先生的《关于治安法官和教区警官制度的研究》由理查德.博恩于1755年首先出版。至其1785年逝世时，其已成为全英格兰地区治安法官和社区教官普遍使用的关于法律的权威典籍。

The four volume set donated to the East China University of Political Science and Law is the 18th Edition of the work dated 1797 and compiled by John Burn, the son of Richard Burn. Burn's Justice of the Peace and Parish Officer was to run 30 editions and well into the mid-nineteenth century.

这一套四本赠送给华东政法大学的著作是1797年发行的第18版，由理查德.博恩的儿子约翰.博恩编译。博恩先生的《关于治安法官和教区警官制度的研究》一直出版到19世纪中叶，一共有30个版本。

Robert B. Yee 余布良律师

Robert B. Yee first came to China in 1987 as an advisor to his father-in-law, T.Y. Lin, who was providing consultations to Shanghai Municipality Government on the development of Pudong New Area.

余布良先生最初于1987年作为他的岳父林同炎先生的顾问来到中国，当时林同炎先生正在为上海浦东新区的规划发展给上海市政府提供专家咨询。

Since its formation in 1992, Mr. Yee has been President and Director of Lin Tung-Yen China, Inc., a California structural engineering consulting firm, and a Director of Lin Tung-Yen & Li Guo-Hao Consulting Co., a Sino-American Joint Venture established in Shanghai in 1993.

林同炎中国公司是一家加州的结构工程咨询公司，自从1992年成立以来，余先生就担任总裁和董事。同时，林同炎李国豪咨询公司，一家中美合作企业，自1993年成立以来，余先生就是其一位董事。

In addition, Mr. Yee practices law in California, and he has had his own firm since 1977.

Robert E. Stanton 罗伯特.斯坦顿律师

Robert E. Stanton has had many careers, among them a policeman, a pilot for United Airlines, and a practicing lawyer in the State of California since 1973. Although he has flown many times to Hong Kong as a pilot, this is his first trip in Chinese mainland.

罗伯特.斯坦顿先生从事过多种职业，其中包括警察，美联航飞行员，以及从1973年开始的加州职业律师行业。尽管他作为飞行员曾多次飞到香港，但这次他是第一次来中国大陆。

Robert E. Stanton attended law school in San Francisco while flying for United Airlines. He received a Juris Doctor degree and admitted to the California and Federal Bar in 1973. His law practice has been largely negotiating airline labor contracts and business law.

罗伯特.斯坦顿律师为美联航飞行期间在旧金山的法学院进修法律课程。1973年获得法学博士学位，并获得加州及联邦的律师资格。其法律业务主要包括航空公司劳务合同和其它商业法。

Mr. Yee and Mr. Stanton first met in London during a joint program on litigation between the California Bar and the Inns of Court of the UK. Their love of antiquarian books and desire to share it with others led them to this presentation.
