With lots of Shanghai's classic landscapes on the route, more than 4,500 runners from China, the United States, Germany, Finland, Japan and South Korea participated in the 8-kilometer Easy Run on September 19, 2015.
In recent years, Shanghai citizens have more enthusiasm for running, the Easy Run, as one of the distinctive races is popular among runners. The first session of the game was held in 2014 and regarded as the "most beautiful 5 kilometers" since the route included many historic buildings and scenic spots in downtown area such as Duolun Road Cultural Celebrities Street, Waibaidu Bridge and the city's oldest post office.
Starting from Hongkou Football Stadium, this year's race was extended to 8 kilometers long with North the Bund as the finishing point. Gao Sheng from Yangpu District took the champion in 27'6.
In order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the wars against Japanese aggression and Fascist, "red scenic spots" were added into the route like the Site of the 4th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum.
