Xiaoli joined Shanghai Media Group in 2005 as an anchor/reporter for news and current affairs. Xiaoli has consistently delivered insightful analysis and arguments on what’s shaping political and economic trends in China and internationally. Among others, Xiaoli has produced a series of insightful feature interviews with the world's opinion leaders–from China's top policy advisors to EU's foreign affairs chief Javier Solana and prominent international political thinkers like Joseph Nye; and from the heads of Fortune 500 companies to emerging leaders in Chinese civil society…
Xiaoli’s global experience includes working and studying in numerous countries across Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. Xiaoli received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in the UK with an academic focus on international politics and economics. She worked on disarmament research while at the United Nations. And most recently, during her time as a visiting fellow at McGill University sponsored by‘the SauvFoundation for Future Leaders’, she explored the subject of art history through anthropological and sociological angles.
At ICS, Xiaoli is now hosting China’s longest standing English programme“News at Ten”and“Shanghai Noon”.
