Yang Shengyu, Master of Communication, San Jose State University, California, United States. Bachelor of Media Management, Taiwan World Journalism College. He is proficient in English and many Chinese local dialects including Mandarin, Cantonese, Minnan dialect, Hunan dialect and Sichuan dialect.
Yang Shengyu began his television career in the early 1970's working as Special Personal Assistant, news announcer, host and then President of the board of KPST-TV in Los Angeles, United States. He has also worked as CEO of Dong Feng Holding Group in the Cayman Islands, CEO of Dongfeng Satellite TV Company in Hong Kong, CEO of Dongfeng Producing Limited Cooperation in Hong Kong, Managing Director of Shanghai Dongfeng Culture Mass Media Limited Cooperation, Director and Senior consultant of Centural Network Internet Data Center Limited Cooperation in Beijing and the president of Hong Kong Sun Satellite TV Limited Cooperation. In addition, he served as General Secretary of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in Beijing for the 50-year Sino-Arabian friendship and director of ATA International Personal Relationship Consultant Limited Cooperation. Yang has extensive media experience and access to many international resources.
It was during this period that Yang Shengyu filmed and produced large-scale transnational documentaries such as Brother and produced programmes including The World Three Top High-Pitched Male Singers and Concert in Forbidden City. He is now the host of Culture Matters on ICS.
