Wu Sihai, graduated from the Foreign Language Department, Fudan University. He joined STV in 1984 and since then he has striven to achieve his life goal of being unique. Wu Sihai gained the opportunity to further his education in Yomiuri TV in Japan with all his fees being paid for by STV. During this time, he passed his exams and entered Kwansei Gakuin University to study for a Doctorate in Sociology. Wu Sihai saw the need and potential for international programs in China when STV took the lead and broadcast a nationwide English news program in 1995. He returned in 1996 and started the program Bridge to Japan which was first broadcast in China. Working as the producer and host for ten years he garnered many awards and honors for his performance. The awards included the Third National TV Program host competition “Copper prize of The Golden Microphone”、“Shanghai TV Top Ten”、The Advanced Individual on Environmental Protection in Shanghai and The Ten Advanced Individual of Socialist Spiritual Civilization. He was acclaimed by the Japanese media as The Best Foreign Host of Japanese Programs.
In 2003, Wu Sihai went to Westminster University in London, UK to study abroad for a year as a visiting scholar. He accompanied the Shanghai Delegation to EXPO 2005 in Aichi Japan twice and hosted the major events China Day and Shanghai Week. In March 2007, he was the live presenter of EXPO Shanghai Week held in Tokyo. He hosted the 9th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention in Kobe in September 2007. He is now the host of Bridge to Japan on International Channel Shanghai.
