Spotlight is a 15-minute newsmagazine airing on ICS at 9:00 pm each Sunday. It looks at the news and current events that are shaping today's Shanghai and today's China, and records the way we live in this ever-evolving and fast-changing metropolis.

Each week, we focus the spotlight on one big story. Topics can range from banning animal performances in zoos to the measles vaccination campaign across China to college students having plastic surgery to improve their chances of getting a job.

Beyond the "Focus" segment, Spotlight also looks at some of the week's other news in a different way."Quotes of the Week" highlights the most interesting or shocking words of the past week."Figures" and "Photos" segments chronicle events in numbers and images.

But it isn't just famous people who have their say on Spotlight. Another important segment of the program is Shanghai Voices, where we give people a platform to tell us what they think about some of the week's most important and interesting topics.
