The Asia Building - built in 1916 (No. 1, The Bund)
The Asia Building was completed in 1916, originally the McBain Building, housed the Shanghai offices of Royal Dutch Shell and Asiatic Petroleum Company.
In 1950, the building of Asia is taken over by the oil company of East China; In 1959, metallurgical designing institute of Shanghai , Shanghai Real Estate Administration , Shanghai silk import and export corporation moved into and worked ; In 1966, the real estate administrative department of Shanghai took over the building; In 1996, China Pacific Insurance Co. replaced through the house.
