The Banque de l'Indochine Building - built in 1914 (No. 29, The Bund)

Photo taken on May 19, 2014 shows the Bund No.29 which now is China Everbright Bank.

 

The building for The Banque de l'Indochine was designed by Atkinson & Dallas in Italian Renaissance style . It was opened for business in 1914. It is a typical French classic construction and the elevation is divided into three parts horizontally and vertically. The arched gate is of Baroque style with a scroll on the top while the front center is installed with Ionic orders. The building is now China Everbright Bank, Shanghai Waitan Subbranch.
