Located on the original site of the Shanghai Film Group Corp in Xuhui District, Shanghai film museum is a professional museum integrating exhibition and experience. It screens films, video clips and displays old props, costumes, memorabilia and equipment.

Covering an area of 15,000 square meters, the museum has four themed areas, Studio No 5 and the most advanced art theater in the country, presenting the charm of Shanghai films in one hundred years.

The Studio No. 5 was built in 1960s and a number of well-known films were shot here in the past few decades. In 2012, the studio was rebuilt as it was in the original site.
