Address: No. 630 Huashan Road, Jing'an Distrist

Located in the campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), Xiong Foxi Tower was named after the first president of STA. It has been included in the fourth batch of city's outstanding protected historical buildings.

Built in 1936, the veranda style architecture has witness the history of Shanghai Theatre Academy. The building used to be a country club where Germans got together and had leisure time. Afterwards it became the biggest recording studio in the Far East area at that time.

It is said that the well-known writer Eileen Chang dates with Hu Lancheng here. Hu lived in Meili Garden, only separated from the academy by a wall, so they often met here.
