Small School Library Pavilion is the former residence of Liu Huizhi, the famous banker and bibliophile in Shanghai. It is also the city's only existing old style private library in modern times.
The traditional Chinese building has been named among the excellent historical architectures in Shanghai and the first batch of the city's immovable historical relics published by the Shanghai Cultural Relics Management Committee.
Liu Huizhi was a confidential secretary of the well-known important official Li Hongzhang and his father was Liu Bingzhang, the governor of Sichuan in the late Qing Dynasty.
位于新闸路1321号的小校经阁旧址是沪上著名银行家、藏书家刘晦之的旧居，也是上海现存惟一一幢近代旧式私家藏书楼。该建筑也已被列为上海市优秀历史建筑，同时也在上海市文物管理委员会公布的上海市第一批登记不可移动文物名单中。
刘晦之是晚清重臣李鸿章的心腹大臣，也是四川总督刘秉璋之子。
