Qinghai Lake, China's largest inland salt-water lake is at 3200 meters above sea level. It is situated in the north-east of Qinghai Province.

　　The lake occupies an area of 4456 kilometers, having a perimeter of more than 360 kilometers and it is 2 times larger than Tai Lake in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.
