Shanghai Tourism Festival 2008 opened in the evening of 13th September. Middle Huai Hai Road was filled by people who enjoyed the various performances in the opening.

　　The festival is an annual festival and usually consists of a series of events being held in a lot of attractions all over Shanghai. It has attracted a lot of local residents and visitors to Shanghai.

　　Incorporating tourism products including sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, culture, sports, exposition, and food and shopping, the festival also presents more than a hundred activities showcasing the metropolitan outlook, culture and commerce of Shanghai.
　　

　　Some of highlights are float pageant, carnival, Shanghai International firework festival, Image Ambassador competition, rose wedding ceremony , to name a few.
