The Spring of Shanghai—International Music Festival originated from the Music and Dance Month of the“Spring of Shanghai”in 1950s. From 2001, it was combined with the Shanghai International Radio and Music Festival and had its name changed into the Spring of Shanghai—International Music Festival and is held from May 5th to 15th every year.

　　This festival is jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group and the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles and organized by the Shanghai Media Group and Shanghai Musician Association.
