A copper plate engraving exhibition by Japanese artist Hiromi Yamaguchi features pictures of her daughter, Amane, who suffered cerebral palsy. Hiromi quit her job as an elementary school teacher to care for the girl. Amane died in 2000 when she was 19. Her mother continued to draw, saying she still hasn’t captured her daughter’s beauty.

The opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 16. Two American cellists will perform.
