Congo River – Art from Central Africa
The exhibition River Congo aims to explore the artistic diversity of the regions bordering the majestic River Congo as it traverses 4,700 kilometers through central Africa.
The exhibition conveys the relationship between the works produced in these regions. On this special occasion, the celebrated Quai Branly Museum in Paris has lent 71 works to the Shanghai Museum : African masks, statues of ancestors, and feminine statues all which testify to the artistic wealth of the this part of the world.
