What changes have taken place in cheongsam in the past one hundred years from the "formal suit" in Qing Dynasty to today's "fashionable dress"? A free exhibition on modern cheongsam is held in the northern section of Jing'an Kerry Center in Shanghai from July 8 and will continue to July 23, 2014.

Items on display include the precious collections of the Shanghai History Museum and the modern chipaos of six well-known Chinese designers.

The cheongsam show is jointly organized by the Shanghai History Museum and Shanghai International Fashion Federation and supported by the government of Jing'an District.

海派旗袍展演绎时尚

旗袍，从清代女子的“正装”到现代女性的“时装”，百年间发生了怎样的蜕变？“蜕变——当代旗袍展”让海派旗袍走出博物馆、走下T台来到市民中间。此次展览将一直延续至本月23日，在静安嘉里中心北区一楼免费向市民展出。

展品中既有上海市历史博物馆的珍贵藏品，也有来自6名中国当代知名设计师的现代旗袍。

此次旗袍展由上海市历史博物馆与上海国际时尚联合会联合主办，得到静安区政府的支持。
