The Shanghai Happy Valley is ready to scare all visitors in the Halloween season with eight newly constructed "ghost houses", nine ghost-themed shows and 300 ghostly figures wandering around the park, set to test visitors' courage.

The ghost houses will themed on different scary stories with different background, like ghosts seeking revenge on the night of marriage, evil magicians wandering in the park and killing people randomly, as well as ghostly theaters haunting visitors.

In addition, there are nine ghost-themed areas where "vampires, zombies and ghosts" are waiting to welcome anyone stepping into. 

Visitors can have free "ghost" makeup at the park.

The park has been turned into a world of pumpkins. Parents with children can have fun in the season as well. A dreamlike candy house will catch kids' attention and they will get free candies from "cartoon figures" at the house. Clowns will play games with children and magicians will play tricks for them. There are also Halloween pumpkin parties and pumpkin-themed parades.

The Halloween celebration at the park started on October 10 and will last 33 days till November 11. 

The 100 visitors who come to the park after 5:30pm when its night session starts and dress themselves up the most like ghosts will enjoy free admission to the park during the 33-day Halloween carnival. 

A family ticket package is offered at 400 yuan (US$64.51) during the Halloween season, allowing two adults and one kid to enter the park. 

A night ticket is 60 yuan per person after 5:30pm from Monday to Thursday, and 90 yuan on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
