As the tree shade the entire Xujiahui Park, a small red house highlights its own existence, which enjoys both Chinese and Western architectural styles. It's nicknamed as the little red house by the locals. The Little Red House marked the development of China's Pop music since 1920s. In 1908, Pathe Company from France established Pathe Orient Company. In 1921, Pathe built the Little Red House as the first studio for music recording. It had been the biggest and best studio in China for quite a long period of time. After the company moved away in 2002, the Little Red House remained and turned into a classy Spanish Restaurant.
