   In Shanghai: November 13 and December 31 in 1920 and January 2 in 1923

   Stayed at: Astor House Hotel (the present Pujiang Hotel)

  Activities:

  November 13, 1922–Had lunch at the Yipinxiang Restaurant (the present junction of Middle Xizang Road and Hankou Road), and afterwards made a tour of Old City God Temple Bazaar, enjoyed Kunqu opera at Small World Playground; in the evening attended a banquet hosted by the famous painter and calligrapher Wang Zhen at his home (Ziyuan Garden at 113 Qiaojia Road)

  January 2 in 1923–In the morning attended the welcome ceremony held on Duomer Route (the present 9 Donghu Road) by Jewish people living in Shanghai; and in the afternoon addressed on Theory of Relativity in the auditorium of the Municipal Committee at 17 Fuzhou Road invited by Shanghai Jewish Youth League and some academic research bodies.
