London Olympic Games is held from July.27th to Aug.12. Over 10000 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees are expected to participate.London will become the first city to officially host the modern Olympic Games three times.

China plays down expectations for repeated dominance

China fielded a streamlined London team with 396 athletes including 29 gold medallists from the Beijing Games. The players, 171 male and 225 female, are to compete in 212 disciplines of 23 sports expect for football, equestrian and handball.
