Japanese Etsuko Aiko has been studying in China for 5 years. "I was curious why my Chinese friends ordered lots of food but they could not finish all, now I find the situation has changed." She said with a smile. "President Xi is a man with powerful personality charm. He has changed some old habits of Chinese with simple concept and has guided the good atmosphere, which is rare for leaders."

来自日本的爱甲悦子到中国留学已有5年时间，“以前我总是好奇中国朋友聚餐时为什么总爱点很多菜吃不完，最近我发现状况改观了很多耶。”悦子笑言，对 于习主席的认识是从周围朋友的改变开始的：外国伙伴会拉着她去光顾学校东门外人满为患的庆丰包子铺，中国朋友会与她分享微博上关于“习大大”和“彭麻麻”的轶闻趣事，甚至同学们对学校领导的讲话也不那么容易打瞌睡了。过去对于政治几乎一无所知的她开始去关注新闻里钓鱼岛的最新动态，因为平日里总有中国的同学与她讨论中日外交的变化。“习主席的影响是潜移默化的，他有着强大的人格魅力，用朴素实在的观念改变了中国人很多传统的习惯和思维，引导了社会良好的风气，而这才是领导者最难得的地方。”
