People visited the former site of Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland on Jan 26, 2015 local time, commemorating the 70 anniversary of the camp liberation. The "death factory", founded in 1940 by the Nazi Germans for imprisoning captives, was liberated on Jan 27, 1945 by the Red Army soldiers of the former Soviet Union.
