Editor Powell

Powell was invited to Shanghai from the US in early 1917 to help found Millard's Review and acted as editor-in-chief since then. He expressed the sympathy to this country under Japanese aggression, “Our newspaper has always advocated China as an independent country rather than the accessories of Western Europe or Japan.” (Eastday/ Jiang Wenran)
