Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 lost contact on March 8, 2014 with 227 passengers (153 from Chinese Mainland and 1 from Chinese Taiwan) and 12 crew members onboard. 16 days later, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib announced that "flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean." No debris of the missing flight has been found till now.
