What to buy when traveling in Japan? You may hear of two best-sellers: Japanese electronic cooker and intelligent toilet cover. But the latter one turns out to be made in China. And the production workshop is located in Xiasha Economic Development Zone, Hang Zhou, Zhejiang Province.

Located in Xiasha, Hangzhou, the company, Panasonic Electrochemical Residential Equipment Machinery (Hangzhou) co., LTD was established in 2004 and produces intelligent toilets, rice cookers and washing machine, etc. One thing to be noted is that the workshop in Xiasha is Panasonic’s only one producing and processing intelligent toilets worldwide.

Li Jianhong, head of the workshop introduced to the reporter that some of the intelligent toilet covers well sold in Japan are made in China and then exported from here. “Besides, we also exported this kind of toilet covers to Singapore, Hong Kong and other places throughout the world.” Li said.
