Top-ranked Wozniack stormed past error-prone Maria Sharapova 6-1, 6-2 on Friday and will meet 15th seed Marion Bartoli in the final of the WTA BNP Paribas Open hardcourt tournament.

Wozniack enjoyed a flying start in the first set, leading the Russian 4-1, before shrugging off a 0-40 deficit in the sixth game and sealing the set 6-1.

After the two sides tied 2-2 in the second set, the Dane rocketed up to take four games in a row to clinch the victory.

Wozniacki lost last year's final to Jelena Jankovic of Serbia, and is in a final for her third straight tournament.

The 15th-seed Bartoli became the first Frenchwoman to reach the singles final at Indian Wells, beating Belgian 23th seed Yanina Wickmayer 6-1, 6-3 in the other semifinal played earlier.
