Winter Solstice coming, city greets tomb-sweeping peak

City residents hold flowers to sacrifice and renovate the tomb for their ancestors.

December 18th belongs to the last weekend before a Chinese’s traditional festival-Winter Solstice. Citizens in Shanghai flooded to sweep the graves of their forebears. In PhucTho Garden of Qingpu, almost 2000 cars with people and ten thousands of citizens have come to offer sacrifices at and sweep the ancestral tomb until midday. Safety and civilization become the themes this year.
