A hundred of singles lit and flew Kongming lanterns in Shanghai on the evening of Nov 3, 2014, wishing to find their better halves as soon as possible.

In a few days it will be the annual Single's Day which falls on Nov 11. It first became labeled "Single's Day" or "Single Stick Day" in the 1990s after some college students came up with the idea that if Nov11 is written in Roman numerals, it looks like four single lonely sticks.
