最“牛”公共艺术展“奔牛”来到上海

Shanghai, Oct 5 - A number of painted sculptures of cows appear recently at the city's scenic spots such as the Bund, People's Square and Xujiahui Area, which is the first batch of works of CowParade in Shanghai.

CowParade, found in Chicago of U.S. in 1999, is the largest public art exhibition in the world. Sculptures of cows are decorated by artists, professional and amateur, famous and emerging, young and old.

Shanghai is the 80th city holding the event. It is expected to be the largest one in the history with the 500 painted cows if the plan is completed.

近日，一批彩绘牛雕塑出现在外滩、人民广场、徐家汇等公共区域，吸引了市民游客纷纷拍照留影，并参与互动。这是被称为史上最“牛”公共艺术活动的“奔牛上海——大型城市公共艺术展”来到上海后的首批作品亮相街头。

奔牛艺术展是全球规模最大、参与创作人数最多的跨国公共艺术活动。它始于1998年夏天，瑞士苏黎世的艺术家制作了400只牛形的装置，为慈善事业募款。恰在苏黎世出差的芝加哥零售店协会会长看到这个项目后受到了启发，第二年就在芝加哥举办了第一届的奔牛艺术展，大获成功。15年来，奔牛艺术展已在全球79个国际城市成功举办，来自全球的10000余位艺术家、文化名流、娱乐明星，专业或是业余，年轻或是年长，加入到创作的队伍中，完成了超过5000头形态各异、色彩斑斓的牛。

上海是举办这一活动的第80个城市，如果计划顺利完成，上海将成为奔牛艺术展历史上规模最大的一次。
