1730 apartments, 24 buildings

House types available are one bedroom, two bedrooms and 300 square-meters duplex, whose rentals range from 120 to 240 per square meter per month.

The Expo village, located in the northeast of Shanghai World Expo site, Pudong area, includes seven high-rises in the Expo Jingjiang Apartotel and 17 buildings in the Expo Donghu Service Apartment, which altogether cover 200,000 square meters. There’re 1730 apartments in 24 buildings. House types available are one bedroom, two bedrooms and 300 square-meters duplex.

According to the officer of the management department of Expo village, the rental of the Expo Jingjiang Apartotel ranges from 200 to 240 per square meter per month, and Donghu Service Apartment, 120 to 160. Since December last year when the Australian participants moved into Expo village, now 50 apartments have been rented by participants from all countries.

We followed the staff to room 3182, and there we saw two neat beds set in front of a closet and a TV table. The one-bedroom apartment is not big, but there is still enough space for a hearth in the doorway and a small dining table between the hearth and the bed.

Across the hall is a two-bedroom apartment. The first thing you will see when you enter it is the dining room, one side of which is a long hearth, and the other side, the dining table. If you go inside, there is the sitting room, along which are the two bedrooms. Washing machine, refrigerator, microwave oven and other household appliances are all available in 916 apartments in Jingjiang Apartotel, according to their staff.

The decorations of building 6 and 7 in Jingjiang are a little bit different from the other ones. The wallpaper change from white to geometrical pattern and a penetralium can be found behind the bedroom---that is a study for people to enjoy some quietness when dealing with business matters.
