Shanghai, Sept 14 - Twenty-two floats and 32 performance teams from home and abroad offered visitors a feast of eyes down Huaihai Road in the 2014 Shanghai Tourism Festival opening parade yesterday evening.

50% of the floats joined in the parade for the first time, including the highly-anticipated Disney Resort float.

Four performing venues were set up for visitors along Huaihai Road by the organizer, located at Longmen Road, Shui On Plaza, Huating Isetan shopping mall and Huashi Square respectively.

It is reported that the parade attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.

The city's 56 scenic spots offer preferential tickets for tourists during the tourism festival which will continue to Oct 6, 2014.

2014年9月13日晚，上海旅游节开幕花车大巡游在淮海路盛大开启。来自全国各地的22辆流光溢彩的花车，及32支来自世界各地魅力四射、热情奔放的表演队伍，沿着繁华的淮海路巡游表演，让市民、游客们大饱眼福。

据了解，22辆花车中50%是首次参加开幕大巡游，其中包括迪士尼花车。

为方便市民游客观赏，组委会在淮海路沿线设立了4个表演会场，分别位于龙门路，瑞安广场，华亭伊势丹商厦和华狮广场。

据悉，开幕大巡游现场吸引了近几十万名市民游客观赏这场激情四溢、华美动人的城市庆典。

今年上海旅游节自昨日起将一直持续至10月6日。期间，上海的56家景点以门票优惠的方式开门迎客，其中热门景点占绝大多数。
