Almost one thousand citizens including China's Olympic champion swimmer Zhuang Yong joined in the 2014 Rowing Machine China Open along the Huangpu River at the Bund in Shanghai, Oct. 19, 2014, setting a record of the country's onshore rowing machine match in scale.

The rowing machine, safe and easy to operate, helps exercise the muscle strength and coordination ability.

The rowing machine match has been listed as the key promoted national fitness project by the water sports management center of the State Sports General Administration, expected to spread to the cities throughout the country.

2014年10月19日，在外滩黄浦江畔，百余台划船器摆开阵势，近千名市民共同参与了2014中国划船器公开赛。据悉，作为上海市民体育大联赛的活动之一，其规模也创了我国陆上划船器比赛规模之最。奥运冠军庄泳现身赛场，和市民一起健身。

据悉，划船器操作简单、安全便捷。其模拟划船的自然动作，可有效锻炼手、腿、腰等部位的肌肉力量和协调能力，运动强度也可因人而异，随机调整。国家体育总局水上运动管理中心将划船器比赛列为重点推广的全民健身项目，有望在全国城市中普及。
