Nuke talks in DPRK

Shanghai Daily news

Officials from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea this week will meet a US-led international consortium that suspended construction of nuclear reactors in retaliation for the DPRK's atomic weapons programs, a South Korean official said yesterday. Representatives of the consortium, Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization, and the DPRK will meet tomorrow and on Thursday in Kumho, a remote village on the DPRK's northeast coast where the consortium had been building two light-water reactors to generate badly needed electricity for the country.
