Players fail tests

France's doping watchdog said on Monday that two players, whose names were not released, failed drugs tests at the tennis French Open last month. One player tested positive for the banned stimulant bupropion, and another tested positive for the local anesthetic lidocaine, which is a restricted substance, said an official at the Council for the Prevention and Struggle Against Doping (CPLD). The official said the players' names would be kept secret until the CPLD finished a probe into the test results.
