Chinese Wushu and Thai Boxing will meet for the third time in history in south China's city of Guangzhou on September 7, organizers told a news conference in Guangzhou on Tuesday.
Wushu won the first meet with five victories to two in Guangzhou in last September, and Thai Boxing revenged with a 4-1 win in Bangkok two months later.
Seven categories are set for this head-to-head clash between two traditional powers of martial arts. The categories are classified as men's 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and women's60kg.
China's Liu Hailong of the 80kg category twice threw his opponents out of the boxing ring during China's 5-2 win last year.He is looking forward to technically knock out his rival this time, though, as "throwing an opponent out of the ring" is forbidden in this year's competition.
